Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken one evening a few years ago, looking north west, as I was leaving Montague Ca.

Time

Dusk.

Lighting

I’m a novice so I can’t say anything technical about this photo. It was dusk & the sunset was just too beautiful to pass up.

Equipment

This was taken with my iPhone 6s Plus. By hand; looking out my car window on the side of the road. It wasn’t planned; sometimes the best shots just come unexpectedly.

Inspiration

Sometimes it’s just the feeling. This was just a beautiful evening on my way home; and I just had to stop on the side of the road to capture it.

Editing

I honestly can’t remember what I did to this photo. You can tell I used the edits on my phone to create the focus. I was really into editing things to come up with a hazy vibe I guess, back then?

In my camera bag

I don’t always have my camera on me. So I utilize my phone for most of my photos. And they’re usually on the fly, when I get in the mood to capture something. Currently I have an iPhone 11. I also have a Nikon D7100.

Feedback

Just have fun. Taking photos, should be about how it makes you feel. Don’t stress if you feel like you can’t get the right photo, process it perfectly, etc. if you’re feeling like that, you’re not doing it for the right reasons. I process my photos how I feel about them. Not for others, if others like it, awesome! But if not, it’s not the end of the world cause taking photos is for me anyways.
