My wonderful girlfriend surprised me with a trip to the Oregon coast for my birthday, which included our first return to Cape Perpetua since my original shot of Thor's Well. I was pretty excited about this because I've been wanting to re-shoot Thor's Well for a long time. I didn't get the sunset or sunrise I was hoping for on this trip, but the dramatic storm clouds made for an equally satisfying shot regardless.

I got soaked almost immediately by a huge wave coming over the cliff, so I am incredibly lucky to have landed this on my first and only shot before getting drenched and almost losing my equipment to the angry sea.
