Stripped?

While standing on a corner in China town in New York on Canal St. Waiting for my wife while she was shopping I stumbled upon this and found it very ironic as the apparent owner of this bicycle thought he-she had secured it. Nicely chained and locked....it makes you wonder how long this bike must have sat here before it was completely dismantled, and how long it will continue to stay there just like it is?
