Location
a friend of mine is a keeper of a old monastery once in a while im going to shoot there. in that beautiful monastery is an attic 3 story up made fully out of wood the smell everything has its own beauty up there. this picture is made on that attic because of its nostalgia i knew this would be a killer photo.Time
best time to shoot was noon cause of the sun that shines trough the small window above herLighting
nothing much to tell than that its all naturel sunlight was pouring in and in combination with a big opening lens the flair/hase was created by its self.Equipment
Camera: Canon 5D Mark 2 with a grip Lens: 50mm Sigma 1.4 ( gold ring serie ) tripod cause this picture is made out of 2 pictures the model is leaning on a bench i photoshopped that out. my signature with manipulation is that my pics are always realistic even when its not possible i make you believe that its real.Inspiration
very simpel i like dancers especially ballerina's i like old places unique places one of a kind places so why not combine them.Editing
for this picture i had to make 2 frames one with my subbject and one without my subject. one a later base in photoshop i masked out the bench she was leaning on with her hand cause the pose she is standing is was to hard to perform for a longer time of period. the rest is just color "grading" in photoshopIn my camera bag
My bag contains ATM de canon 5D II with grip 2 batts, a 70-200 2.8L form canon and the 24-70 2.8L from canon. more than this i don't need even for my wedding photography these focal length are perfect.Feedback
Be a perfectionist the les you have to do in photoshop the better. keep everything so realistic as possible. never overdo you project if you hesitate if your done save you project go away form the mac/pc and look back tomorrow if you still thinks it needs something do it but 9/10 your satisfied cause you have a fresh new look on it, never let somebody else give you advice on your picture because its needs to be yours an yours only. they can always give constructive criticism afterwards.
