This Photo was taken as the Thomson Cruise ship called the Legacy was just about to dock back at Luxor in Upper Egypt the small boat had just pulled in the gap as we stopped and i just caught it as the light hit was a fab holiday and saw some wonderful things.Time
This was Late evening in Luxor and the last sounds of evening prayer had finished the boat had just turned to dock when I looked and grabbed my camera and just snapped the pic it was a spur of the moment but with the sun dropping it gave a brilliant back drop almost as the golden rays caught the boat we were about to dock next to the other boat when this boat passed through and the golden colour on the water set the tone and sceneLighting
I just wanted to capture the beauty of the Nile and the sun setting the boat and the culture it was stunning how well it had come out. The water reflecting just gives it a magical and vibrant feel it makes you smile as well.Equipment
I brought a new camera for this trip and am glad i played a good amount for it I believe I paid about £185 from amazon ordered it online and it came quickly began playing about to get a good picture and understand how it worked. The camera is a Samsung galaxy smart camera with touch screen so the screen is big enough to see on it has Wi Fi and its model is EK-GC100 16MP Optical 21x,23MM Wide zoom lens i just used the normal function and zoomed in was still getting used to it and still am.Inspiration
I think it was a moment the fact the boat had just come through the sun as it was setting it was about the water glowing and seeing how it was so graceful and quiet as the boat went past. It was my first holiday alone despite illness of a chest infection but i enjoyed every minute of it and I just wanted to capture the culture of Egypt and the people going about their everyday things .Editing

Just take your time and enjoy if it comes out wrong try again but dont get frustrated a good zoom and a good quality camera are all you need you dont have to spend £200- £300 on a camera that does fancy things just take a photo and enjoy the moment as you dont know when youll see it again. Water is a good place to take Photos as you get different movements as well as late evening get on a boat and take pictures from the top deck and you have a good base to move about dont stand in one place move sideways or turn your body but keep a tight hold or you may lose the camera to the water if youre not careful.
