Location
I have taken this @ Nubra which is a tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh valley. Diskit the capital of Nubra is about 150 km north from Leh town, the capital of Ladakh district in IndiaTime
It was evening time around 5PM and sun was about to set, Its a handheld shot.Lighting
Light wasn't that bad, But i made sure my camera has right setting for the moment i wanted to capture, Its worth having a silhouette in deserts and that was a much awaited photo which i wanted to capture from long time.Equipment
This was shot with Canon 550D, with an 18-55mm f3.5 lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
As earlier mentioned i love taking Silhoutte in deserts, It was a perfect time for me to get the shot, Though my friends were asking to take the pic i dint care them and was shooting these pics when i finished they all were angry on me since i dint take thier pic with Camels :-)Editing
I din't took it in RAW, Yes its a JPEG image with very minimal processing on it, like basic color correction and Gradient filter on edges, Its all the magical shot taken from my camera was so nice that it din't needed any post editing. In my camera bag
I always have the wide range of Lens with me but all budgeted ones, One is basic 18-55mm kit lens other one is 55-250mm for telephoto shots and 50mm prime 2.8L, With being less time in Photography and budget constraints am sticking to these basic lenses, But Manual composition can generate Beautiful images with any lens and I have a basic Camera Body Canon 550D. Now i have upgraded to Canon 70D, Still a dream to get the full frame sensor.Feedback
I love taking silhouette Photographs, Its always on cards when you have bright sunlight and subject infront, You can turn any object into a silhouette which points viewers eye on the edges of your subject. More curvy and scattered objects look more beautiful when taken in silhouette.(Ex;- Trees against bright sunlight or Sunset against Mountains etc..)
