i seek out beautiful locations locally that are slightly off the beaten track , that have an enchanted look about them and natural beauty to add as a back drop when shooting natural portraits , the bridge worked perfect as a natural framing , incorporated with the forest foliage behind , the star of the show was a natural , her first time for a photoshoot , and at the age of 4 she became a natural , this shot was not set up , just a natural moment captured, she thoroughly enjoyed her day , and thats what photography is all about in my eyes , not only you enjoying photographing but your subject enjoying themselves as wellEditing
editing was completed in photoshop , converting the image to black and white, prior to then enhancing the zoom of the shot to start work conducting the colour rework , in order to get a smooth pixel by pixel transition ,In my camera bag
Canon 7d , with battery grip , quick draw strap, lenses -canon 100mm f2.8 usm, canon 50mm f1.8, canon 18-135mm, canon 70-300. three batteries , a range of filters , gloxy flash unit , tripod+monopodFeedback
think of how you want to set out your shot, do a reci for locations, and checkout lighting, access . do some test shots of the location before taking a subject with you , make sure all your equipment is checked and functioning correctly , relax your subject dont just get them to stand there them them walk around run play and have fun but be ready with the camera to capture those moments , natural shots in my opinion are more dramatic then a static staged shot
