Location
This was taken in Whitehorse,Yukon, Canada. I was looking out my apartment window facing the Yukon river and the Klondike II museum on the south side of downtown.Time
It was at night about 2100Lighting
The entire scene was illuminated by street lights, car tail lights and reflections coming from the river.Equipment
I used a Canon Rebel T3i, 18-55 mm kit lens ,mounted on a tripod and using a cable shutter release.Inspiration
I have a very large bay window that framed the whole scene. It is inspiring just to look out and enjoy the views.Editing
This image was processed as HDR. I shot this using Aperture Priority, 3 photos of different exposure levels (-2, 0, +2) at 15s, 4s and 30s respectively. Images were merged using Photomatix and some minor processing using Light Room.In my camera bag
3 lenses: Canon 50 mm EF 1.8, Canon EFS 18-55 mm; Canon EFS 55-250 mm Cable shutter release and a remote shutter ND filters lens pen and cloth spare batteriesFeedback
It is imperative that you use a tripod and a cable release to minimize shake
