Behind The Lens
Location
Alexandra Palace, Harringey, LondonTime
Around 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday.Lighting
I was walking along, admiring the view and saw the telescope overlooking the London skyline. I thought it would be nice to show what you could see if someone else was looking through the lens.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D5300 with a kit lens 18-55mm hand held.Inspiration
I thought it would be nice to show what you could see if someone else was looking through the lens.Editing
I decided to change the picture from colour to B&W as I felt that the telescope would be more prominent and the buildings in the background would stand out, without losing the main focal point. In my camera bag
As I'm just starting out, I just had my kit lens and my Nikon D5300 bodyFeedback
Trust your eye and your instincts. If you feel the shot is right, then it's the right shot. It's better to take the shot and delete it later than regret not taking the picture in the first place.
