Location
The photo was taken in Castelo de Almourol, near Constância, birthplace of great portuguese writer LuÃÂÂs de Camões. I often go there with my friends to camping.Time
i took the photo at night, like 2:30 in the morning. i was waiting for the castle lights were turned off to try to create this enigmatic and mysterious effect and also because with lights on, the contrast was to much and the walls would be very white.Lighting
the long exposure (30 sec), allowed the lights from near villages reflected in the cloudy sky, creating the expected effectEquipment
I took the picture with my Canon 600D in a tripod. The lens was a 18-55.Inspiration
Me and my friends have a kind of secret brotherhood, with some friendly and silly rituals, which we take very proudly and seriously and this place is very special to us because this brotherhood starts there. So i wanted to give that kind of mysterious look to our favourite place.Editing
No.In my camera bag
The only equipment that i have, my 600D with 18-55, 2 alternate bateries and my tripod.Feedback
I am just starting this adventure in photography. but my advice would be, go to a place you enjoy and know well, wait for the right moment, with the clouds and the sky perfect for what you want and start shoot all night long.
