This photo was taken in field right outside my home.Time
This photo was taken at about 2 or 3pm and I had taken him out for a quick walk and I had my camera like I always do.Lighting
There was nothing that I really liked about the lighting. It harsh but I liked that fact that it was bright and not over casted.Equipment
I was using the Nikon D7000 with my 18-105mm. This shot was handheld. No artificial light was used.Inspiration
I was home that day and I was just learning how to use shutter speed to freeze motion and also learning how to use my continuous focus verses my single focus. So when I took it him for a walk it was the perfect moment to try out what I have just learned. So as we where walking a see a piece of stick and I threw it away from me then I called him back to run towards me while trying to get the perfect shot and focus.Editing
For post- processing I took it into photoshop and used Camera Raw software to edit. Which came out great but I thought it was missing something because I wanted to show speed and motion at the same time. So in photoshop I added the burst blur effect which gave the picture exactly what I was looking for.In my camera bag
In my bag ( which goes with me every where lol ) I always have my Nikon D600 with my Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 which is my go to lens it never leaves camera. I also have my Nikkor 50mm f1.8 which I don't use that often but I have it handy if i need it. Then I also have my Nikkor 18-200mm f3.5- 5.6 which I use when I am doing street photography. I like to tell myself I like to travel light but it never happens lol. I some times do travel with my tripod and an external flash just in case a photoshoot breaks out lol.Feedback
I would say have patience. That day after watching the videos and learning, I felt and I knew everything. When started shooting it was as if I hadn't learned anything and I was getting frustrated. So what I did, instead of been frustrated, I got myself together, slowed down and everything came back to me. Been patient will give you better results and it will also teach how to be in control of yourself and things when they don't go the way you planned. Be creative, think outside the box and don't be afraid to try new things. Even after you think you got the shot you wanted add things, take away things you never know what can take an ok image to an amazing masterpiece.
