Location
This photo was taken Carnarvon WA, The mighty Gascoyne River usually flows underground so when we get a river flow the whole town is excited.Time
I took this photo at mid day on my way home for lunch. Just a quick stop to take a few photosLighting
I set my camera to bracketing, then merged the 3 shots in lightroom and photoshop to get the HDR effect.Equipment
I use a Nikon d5100 with 16 - 85 lens.Inspiration
Our town relies on the water from this river. It hadn't flowed for 5 years , so when it finally did it was a big relief to the town.Editing
I merged 3 shots in photoshop and then slightly touched up the colour and straighten the horizon in lightroom. In my camera bag
In my bag is a spare battery, cleaning cloth and spray, a 55 - 300 lens and a 35mm lens. this is always with me for quick shots. But if going out specifically to shoot something I take my manfrotto tripod, a fold up stool,(my knees are not the best) various filters.Feedback
Try bracketing on your camera. If you don't know how it works, please google it. love the effect I get.
