Behind The Lens

Location

Shot on a spring afternoon on the St-Lawrence river bsnk near Quebec City, Canada. This drift ice landed on the shore with high tide. Sure the place was pretty muddy but I guess it was worth it !

Time

Late afternoon.

Lighting

Did many shots with flash but those without were better.

Equipment

Nikon d7100 +nikkor 18-200 on tripod. Polirazing filter.

Inspiration

I saw these chunks of ice a couple days before and I knew it would possibly make great photos. I was not desapointed with the shooting.

Editing

Just normal processing in lightroom but I intentionnally forced the colours to the blue side.

In my camera bag

D7100 with 18-200, 10-20mm, 50m 1.8, and 70-200 for sports. I add my bazooka (150-500) for wildlife shooting.

Feedback

Don, t be affraid to get dirty and try many angles around your subject.
