Behind The Lens
Location
Williamstown, Massachusetts, on Hope MountainTime
On a very sunny day during the summer.Lighting
The lighting was all natural.Equipment
Nikon D3200, with the lens that comes with it. No tripod, or flash.Inspiration
I loved how the rock wall separates the scene into two parts. The grass in the foreground is very textured, while the grass behind the wall is soft and blurred. I also liked how the house seemed to peek out at me from behind the trees, the white contrasting with the greens and browns of the scene, but still fitting in very nicely.Editing
I put a bit of a filter on it to give the picture a more 'antique' effect, but other than that, there was no post-processing.In my camera bag
I generally carry just the camera and the lens that comes with it. I'm an amateur photographer, and more than that is too bulky to bring along on hikes.Feedback
If you're taking a landscape picture, try to have something that gets the viewers attention. A nice arrangement of trees may be pretty, but boring.
