Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in an abandoned potting shed in Plymouth UK

Time

I took this in the late evening as to give the spooky effect.

Lighting

The lighting was a single flashlite to light the subject.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3100 a few years back when I started my college course.

Inspiration

The insperation behind this was mainly from the film mumma, it was part of a 5 photo body of work about horror photography. the others where a clown slenderman and a ghost.

Editing

This image was created inphotoshop I elongated the fingers face and arms then done some liquify on the teeth to make them look sharp I also de saturated the background to make the main subject pop.

In my camera bag

I now have a Nikon D800 and a variety of lenses, I have access to elinchrome lighting gear such as the quadra kit. I always carry triggers and two speedlites for back up.

Feedback

For this type ogf photography I beleive it is best to scout out good loactions and keep playing on photoshop this image was taken about 5 years ago now and since then I have developed a keen love for photoshop and post production where I have became much better due to the fact I am constantly exsperimenting.
