Location
I took this photo inside my house, I have learned that although I live in the same house for many years I do look at things but I was not seen everything that is around me. Many times I look at small details not at a whole, in this case I wanted to capture what is inside a flower not the actual flower, and the result was beautiful.Time
I shot this one about one o’clock, it was one of these times of the day when the light outside is so bright and harsh that make you go and shoot inside, which I did.Lighting
I used the light that entered the house thru a window, it produced a soft light enough to capture the image. Since it feel some dim for the picture I overexpose the camera reading by one stop.Equipment
Only use my Nikon D7100 with a 40mm 2.8 micro lens (Nikon categorize as macro but call it micro) no more no less.Inspiration
I liked what I saw and want to capture it in a picture, no petals, stems, nothing but the flower heart. It opened a new perspective to me.Editing
No post processing. In my camera bag
That varies, in this case at home I grab the camera with the macro lens. If I go out to shoot I carry a camera with an 18-300 mm telephoto, a spare body and the macro lens in case I may needed.Feedback
I would say look and see, study your subject, move around it and get close. Put yourself where you would put the camera, same level same distance, when you are satisfy then grab the camera and do the same and when you are finally satisfy with what you will capture then shoot. Remember that your eyes will “process” what you see, your camera will capture it the way it is. You are the camera brain, you control the exposure, the aperture, deep of field and so on before you press the shutter. Spend your camera memory as if were film, do not shoot many pictures thinking that one will be good, you need to see the picture before you shoot otherwise you may be disappointed.
