Fun! I like the laid-back "Hey, how are you" attitude! :)

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this in my living room. We have a cat tree in front of the window.

Time

It was right around sunset. After having dinner, Emma always went over to her spot, lounge out and watch the birds!

Lighting

When I took this we were living in the country. Our yard backed up to a corn field. One of the reasons I loved living there was the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and nothing obstructed the view. It was almost like having built in lighting equipment.

Equipment

I used a canon rebel t4i. F/5.6 iOS 100 1/640

Inspiration

Emma was a big cat. She loved to sit like a human. We called it her bear pose! At one point we had a cat toy attached to the cat tree but overtime it had slipped and ended up where she could sit like a bear and lay her arm on it like an arm rest!

Editing

No

In my camera bag

My rebel t4i. I have a 35mm and a point and shoot that I take in the water and snow. I have multiple filters as well.

Feedback

Just be yourself! I wasn't sure how this would turn out and it's one of my favorites! What makes it even more special is that unfortunately she passed away almost a year ago. Emma was my first cat and the first one my husband and I got together. She is missed every day but I smile when I see this and other pictures of her.
