Thank you! This one of my "beginner's luck" pictures. I took the shot long before I learned about composition, exposure, lighting, or anything...

Location
I lived on a lake when this was taken (2003ish). Right outside my back doorTime
Early morning, just as the sun was rising. It provided just enough light to capture the silhouette of the trees, and blend the fog and water together just right.Lighting
The sun was just rising behind the trees on the right.Equipment
An olympus 3.2mp point 'n shoot.Inspiration
I walked out of my door on the way to work, and noticed that it looked like the fog and water blended into emptiness, leaving one to wonder, just what could be out there? Or I could be standing on the edge of a cliff, the fog obscuring the vast openness beyond.Editing
Only minor post processing, to bring out the blue-ish hues a bit.In my camera bag
Sony a6000 with 18-105mm lens. 35mm prime, and 55-200mm zoom lens. I always carry my set of 3 macro rings as well, just in caseFeedback
Always be willing to take a moment to stop and take a picture, no matter how busy you are, because, especially with clouds and fog, you'll never get another shot quite like the one you're looking at.
