This would have been a PERFECT March Madness image! I can almost hear the dog thinking "Let's play some hoops!" or imagine he's going to drop the ball, stand up and start dribbling... "He shoots... He SCORES!!" In reality, you shot and scored from downtown, a 3 pointer for sure!! Very very cute, you just took me on a magic carpet ride here!"

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my friends living room. I am a self-taught photographer and take advantage of every opportunity to take pictures. Sometimes you don't get the shot, and sometimes you get the best shot ever.

Time

We were waiting to go to dinner but Pooh Bear had decided he wanted to play ball. You know he wants to play because he will retrieve the 'toy of choice' from his toy basket and bring it to you. My friend was playing fetch with Pooh Bear. I grabbed my camera and started shooting, taking as many shots as I could. Just as Pooh Bear decides when he wants to play, he also decides when he's done playing so I knew I didn't have much time. It was so worth it! My friend is not a big fan of photos and he doesn't understand the value of them. But he is so proud of this picture. I've been sharing Pooh Bear's success on ViewBug and now my friend refers to Pooh Bear as a star.

Lighting

Because I am a self-taught photographer and learning as I go, I can only say that I prefer natural lighting over any other type of lighting.

Equipment

This photo was taken with a Nikon D3200: focal length 62.0mm 1/500s 1/4.2 ISO 1600

Inspiration

Inspiration comes from my heart. If I feel that a moment can be captured, I go for it. My hope was to capture how much Pooh Bear enjoys playing fetch.

Editing

The only adjustment I made to this photo was cropping before downloading onto ViewBug.

In my camera bag

At this time, only the basic equipment is in my camera bag. And for the most part, it's just me with the camera around my neck.

Feedback

Because I am a self-taught photographer, I can only write that I shoot from the heart. I've taken over 3,000 pictures since first purchasing the camera less than a year ago. I get out there and I take pictures. The delete button is my best friend. I'd rather take a 100 pictures and get the shot, then not to have taken the picture at all. My children make fun and give me a hard time because I want to learn on my own. I have absolutely fallen in love again.....with photography!
