This picture was taken in Daytona FL. I was waking at the beach and I saw these men naturally posing, not really knowing one another. I was lucky to capture them admiring the sunset, it's wonderful to see how this can bring people together even if it was just for a couple of minutes.Time
It was around 7pm. The evening was astonishing. I was strolling with my boyfriend at Daytona beach, the sky looked so beautiful. It was captivating, but it was more beautiful to see how the people reacted by the change in color. It affected their mood and thinking. Some looked vibrant and full of life, some looked pensive and filled with hope.Lighting
The lighting in this image was completely natural. I shot for the golden hour and it came out looking great, with vibrant colors and nice silhouettes.Equipment
This picture was shot with a Canon 6D and a 24-105mm Canon lens.Inspiration
The day started off as a date with my boyfriend. Being filmmakers our cameras are with us 24/7. That being, as soon as I saw how people were reacting to the phenomenon that is an amazing sunset I opted to get my camera and try to capture the moment. And with luck and some good lighting this picture came to be.Editing
I did bit of post to the picture but nothing too extreme. The picture raw already looked great, I just popped the colors a bit and darkened it a tad to accentuate the silhouette. In my camera bag
My bag changes depending on what the subject is. But if I am going out to shoot for fun or on a whim. I tend to have a 50mm 1.2f/ lens a 35mm and a 24-105mm. I also have a tripod a, monopod a bounce and some polarizers.Feedback
For those who are starting out and have a passion for photography, my best advice is to practice. You can have the best camera but your eye is what sees the beauty, the camera just captures it. How to practice? Look around you there is beauty everywhere. But to see beauty your mind has to be aware of the fact that some beauty is hard to see unless you concentrate and look for it and shoot shoot shoot. Also study other photographers, too see how they compose and make an image a story. I am still learning and have a lot to learn so all I can say is to keep at it and to practice.
