This photo was taken at my best friends apartment in the upper east side of Manhattan, NYC.Time

This lighting just kind of happened. The lighting and white walls allowed for me to take photos with the feel of being in a very well lit studio.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon Rebel T3i camera and the standard kit lens EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
There was another photoshoot taking place outside on the balcony, and we decided to do an impromptu shoot for my then jewelry line Anahid K Jewelry.Editing
Post processing was involved. I used Lightroom to brighten up the photo and make the colors pop.In my camera bag
I normally have the body of my camera, all my lenses: Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II, Canon 40mm F/2.8 STM, Canon 24-105mm F/4 L IS USM Macro, and Canon EF 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 II Telephoto. I also have my Canon 430EX Speedlite Flash and Leica C-Lux 3 Black Digital Camera. The day of this shoot, I was only equipped with my 18-55 lens.Feedback
Always have your camera with you. Even if you have one standard kit lens, its best to have something to take advantage of opportunities that randomly present themselves. If I didn't have my camera that day I took this photo, I would have never had a beautiful image like that that so many respond to. Sometimes spontaneity helps create the best images.
