Behind The Lens

Location

The photograph was taken in South Wales in the uk in cefn coed colliery museum creunant. I am a photographer I capture photographs depending on what captures my eye.

Time

This photograph was taken during the day on an over cast gray day. A tripod was used I captured the mood of the colliery wheel as their are not many of these coal mining wheels left in Wales as the coal industry closed during the 1980s.

Lighting

I shot this image raw on a Nikon D7000 with a 18-105 lense. This image was taken during the day using natural light and image was converted to black and white.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D7000 and 18-105 lense with a tripod.

Inspiration

I was looking Ito the different inustarys in Wales and wanted to capture the coal mining industry and a memorial to past miners on people in Wales. I wanted to capture the depression and mood. I feel the coal industry has left a mark on wales and was once part of it's heritage.

Editing

Yes I used photoshop. The image was converted to black and white.

In my camera bag

The first thing I pack is my Nikon D7000 a range of lenses. 50 m Nikon 18-105m Nikon 10-24 Nikon.

Feedback

The most important is to capture something similar is to look around at the country side or the landscapes. Have a feel of what you want to photograph take into account the weather the more dramatic the image. It's up to you to capture your image have patience and plan ahead.
