Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken to Agios Nikolaos, Naoussa, North Greece. It's a beautiful place made by nature with just a little help of human!

Time

We were a small group of amateur photographers that travelled from Thessaloniki to Naoussa. We started out trip at about 7.30 am. We arrived at 9.30 am (after so many stops for photograps). As I remember, we began to photograph at about 10 am. So, this photo was taken between 10 and 11am.

Lighting

The lighting was natural. The only advantage was that the weather was a little cloudy.

Equipment

This shot was taken with Nikon Dd80 and 18-55mm lens

Inspiration

I was walking in this beautiful park, when I saw the river. I tried to photograph the movement of water, when I realised how amazing were the reflections. I shot some photos only with the reflections and then the idea come. "I should photograph both trees and their reflections", I thought.

Editing

In this photo I tried not to do a lot of procession. So, I changed only the brightness and the contrast.

In my camera bag

I have a Nikon D80 with a 18-55mm lens and a 70-300 mm lens. Of course, I have a tripod or monopod (it depends on the subject of my photography trip). Some filters for polarizing, UV , etc.

Feedback

When you try to photograph landscapes, open your eyes to see as much as you can. Sometimes you will be dirty, because you need to enter in a small river or seat to the ground. Don't be afraid. Don't think your clothes. If you believe that you must do something extreme to take THE different photo, then do it!
