Behind The Lens

Location

This and several other photos featuring beautiful Females was taken at my photography studio in the Old Grain Belt Brewery Buildings in N.E. Minneapolis, MN during the Model Portfolio Shoots that I do. Here the Model is on the hardwood floors in one of our shooting bays that's filled with all natural light ( no additional light was used ). Gary

Time

The studio of over 1,700 sq ft is filled with natural light from 4 large ( approx 9 ft tall by 4 ft wide ) arched shaped windows and a approx 20 ft by 30 ft skylight from early morning on into the late afternoons and evenings in Summer time. This particular shot was taken between 11AM and 2PM.

Lighting

Yes ... I shoot all natural light, sometimes with the light diffused, or bounced off of large white flats in the studio.

Equipment

My camera and the natural light from the widows.

Inspiration

I'm constantly inspired by the beautiful Females that are starting or adding to their portfolios and all of the natural light in the studio.

Editing

Any post-processing that I do is limited to making the shot a little brighter or a little darker, and sometimes adding some contrast as well as removing any blemishes that I might see.

Feedback

Try natural light ... when photographers are setting up their lights, they're usually trying to duplicate natural light.
