Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Norfolk, Virginia.

Time

This shot was taken mid morning before the harsh sun took over.

Lighting

I wanted the viewer to focus on the gorgeous colors in these flowers and not be distracted by anything in the background,

Equipment

It’s been some time ag since the picture was taken, but I believe it this shot was taken with my Nikon 700D, no flash and most likely the 18-105 lens.

Inspiration

I went deliberately to capture the beautiful flowers that were in bloom.

Editing

Very little post processing is done on my photos because I try to capture the best shot as natural as possible. The only tweaking done would have been to lighten or darken as I feel necessary.

In my camera bag

I usually carry 1 or more cameras and at least 2 lenses for each. Possibly having 2 camera bags on hand in the car if I need anything else, but can’t possibly carry otherwise.

Feedback

Try to take floral or landscape photos early morning and/or perhaps a couple of hours past mid-day. At least 2-4 hours for optimum lighting.
