This is a beautiful church in Sante Fe, New Mexico. This spiral staircase was built without any support system at all with 360 turns. The carpenter that built it showed up with a donkey and a toolbox looking for work. The nuns felt their prayers were answered as they could not otherwise get up to the loft area of the church. The staircase is just as gorgeous as the church itself.
