These are the Pyrenees, the chain of mountains that forms a natural frontier between Spain and France. I took this shot in 1984 with an old but fantastic analogical Mamiya, with a Kodackchrome 'positive' film. Thirty yeas later I digitalized the paper copy just by photographing it from my old album. The guy was a fellow of my University. We were young and extremely imprudent those days: he is literally putting his life at risk, because the snow on which he is standing up was actually ice, and we had not crampons, nor ropes.
