Location
This photo was taken during a workshop on pinup photography in Long Beach, Ca. This was in a parking lot with a camoflage net for background.Time
The photo was taken during mid-afternoon sun on a very warm day. The models were very patient and obviously lovely.Lighting
Lighting was from multiple flash and reflectors.Equipment
Camera was a Canon 6DInspiration
The photo was taken during a workshop, so the costume was decided by the model and the instructor. The pose was set as a playful presentation of ammo boxes.Editing
There was a little contrast enhancement and some levels adjustment done in Lightroom. In my camera bag
My primary camera is a Canon 6D with a 5 MK II as a second body. Lenses include Tamron 44, 24-70 and 70-200. I generally carry two Yongnuo 600EX-RT flashes as well as trigger. Flashbender diffusors provide light softening.Feedback
Any time one is taking photos in direct sun, it will be a challenge. Using shade and lighting shadows is almost a requirement. Of course, patient models are a must.
