Well done!

Behind The Lens

Location

This amazing location is just 15mins away from house in rural Kent just on the edge of the river Medway.

Time

This shot was taken late morning/ Early afternoon

Lighting

All natural lighting aided by a weather front of heavy cloud creating this very dramatic image

Equipment

Canon 5D MKII with a 28/135mm USM Lens hand held at ISO 500 F7.1 at 1/800

Inspiration

Taking a walk along the the vast walls of this battle implacement I wanted to capture the history and the feel ghostly feeling of this abandoned fort..

Editing

The photo is a result of 8 images stitched together in Photoshop, exported back to Lightroom for just 3 adjustments, contrast, clarity and desaturation of the foreground leaving just the blue in the sky ahead of the inpending Storm.

In my camera bag

Recently I have been through a good few changes.... Including following upgrades... Canon 17/40mm L 600xt speedlight 40mm F2.8 pancake lens

Feedback

The only advice I can give is " if someone says it not possible or you breaking the rule of thirds or any other photography rule??? Remember this " Rules are there to be broken " don't ever be affraid to experiment and stand out from the crowd ;)
