Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in le grau du roi south of france at the beach.

Time

It was early afternoon with sun the hole day.

Lighting

White horses blue sky, beach... I think it it feels like summer and what do you need for summer? Sun. With that much sun i shot this with a iso of 100 to get the best possible quality.

Equipment

I used a nikon D5100 with a tamron 17-50 f2, 8 . This was shot with 17 mm means i almost got run over by horses and bulls.

Inspiration

I am a big fan of bull fights, but only those where no animal gets killed. This picture shows an "abrivado" means cowboys try to drove bulls from the farm into the city. People try to pull out the bulls or scare the horses so the bulls can break out . I love action and when i came to the beach and saw the photographers shooting with a 200mm lens. I thought i will shoot this with 17mm. The cowboy tried to slow down cause they saw me sitting just infront. But the bulls where pushing. I took this picture in the last second possible.

Editing

Just picking up colors.

In my camera bag

A nikon D5100, D80. Tamron 17-50mm f2, 8. nikkor 35mm 1, 8. Nikkor 55-200mm f4. Some lights,...

Feedback

To get a shot like that you need some " balls" . You can get some nice shots with a 200mm lens but you will see a difference.
