For years the Cuban people were not allowed to own any vehicle newer than 1959. Out of necessity, cars were a prized possession and were maintained, re-built and passed on from generation to generation.
This situation is slowly changing, but you still see classic cars everywhere. I'm not usually a big fan of selective color, but thought it kind of worked with the bright pink car against the rather drab city backdrop.
