I wanted the cygnets to be seen with all of their elements - earth, water and sky.Equipment
Panasonic G3 with 45-200 lens.Inspiration
I saw a group of people a hundred metres away standing around and throwing bread. It piqued my curiosity and I walked across to see a group of swans (black) and their young, gorging on bread.Editing
I think I played with the saturation a touch as well as contrast. In my camera bag
In my Kata bag (now discontinued :( ), a UV filter, a CPL, 45-200 and 14-42mm Panasonic lenses, Carl Zeis Jenna Pancolor 50mm 1.8 and M42 adapter and most importantly, my LenspenFeedback
Carry your camera with you everywhere. This was before a meeting that I was to attend and I arrived early just to wander around. Keep your gear in the same position so that if you can see that 'a shot' is about to happen then you are not fumbling with your gear. I can have my camera up and aimed within 2 seconds from a zipped bag. (It does help that the G3 powers up really fast) Use your feet even if you have a tele-zoom lens. Change the angles and lighting angles - you may get something that you were not expecting and go 'wow'. Keep shooting. I found that I am starting to take good pics with this camera after.. let me say 'far more than 10,000! :O
