Location
This photo was taken in my yard in the fall. I liked the matching colors in the leaves, book and toys and I felt the setting also went well with the title of the book.Time
I took the photo around 1 in the afternoon.Lighting
I liked the way the sunlight played on the leaves, highlighting some and casting shadows on others.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7000 with my Nikkor 18-105mm lens.Inspiration
I had been taking a few shots of the fallen leaves and when I saw the Childhood Toys Photo Challenge I thought it would be a good opportunity to combine the leaves, book and plastic toys for my entry.Editing
I used lightroom and photoshop to straighten, crop and enhance the colors in my photo.In my camera bag
I have a Nikkor 18-105 mm, an AF- S Micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G ED lens and a Bower 8mm F3.5 high speed ultra-wide fisheye lens along with a tripod.Feedback
I like to experiment with the composition of my photos. I also try out different angles and distances, taking a lot of shots. After looking through the photos, I delete the ones that don't make the cut, narrowing my choices. I might edit two or three to compare and then pick my favorite. I am an amateur, learning as I go along and enjoying every step of the way.
