This photo was taken at my Mother-in-law s house.Time
This was taken around 6:0pm EST.Lighting
Before this shot, it had been raining very hard. In fact, it was very ugly out. The light was a bright light after the storm. It wasn't the typical "Golden Hour". It was a very harsh orange.Equipment
At the time. I was only shooting with a Nikon D90. My lens was a 50mm 1.4. the lens was not the newer one. I had actually found the older version of the Nikon 50 1.4 at my local Pawn Shop for $30.00 brand new in the box.Inspiration
My neice was outside playing and I was outside just admirring the color myself. As she was jumping around, I was making sure she had not gone out into the front yard and that is when I noticed the glorious lighting.Editing
I did use some Lightroom for some dodging of the background and some vignette. I really wanted to bring that backlighting out.In my camera bag
Right now I have a Sony a6000. The lenses I have is a 35 1.7, old Minolta 55 2.4, Sony 70-200 2.8, Minolta 50 2.4.Feedback
Always be prepared. Sometimes the unlikely source of lighting is the one you never thought you would use.
