Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my hometown in India, where one could find lots of colours.

Time

This photo was taken around 5pm. I always tend to wait to shoot the sunset pictures and colours after the sunset, unfortunately on that day nature doesn't look spectacular, so without further ado, I came up with a quick idea and the result was this picture.

Lighting

Since, the photo was taken around 5pm, I got the perfect lighting source from nature without any extra equipments.

Equipment

This was shot on canon 550D with an 18-55mm f/3.5 lens. No other equipments were used.

Inspiration

I always see things in a creative and unique perspective. Like I said, nature doesn't show up beautiful on that day, I decided to do some still life photography. As I was roaming around, found a box of colourful pencils, used it in different positions and perspectives to make it look interesting. After taking some shots, finally came up with this one.

Editing

Since the photo is all about colours, I did manage to increase the saturation and exposure a bit to make it look more vibrant and aligned to make it look interesting.

In my camera bag

As an amateur photographer, I don't carry much things. Moreover, its just the camera and lens.

Feedback

Things are always lying around us, it's always been the way that each photographer takes the photos. Explore more and try unique techniques to make the photos stand out in the crowd.
