On a first look ... it felt like a Infra Shot... I like the way how you have process the green area, it kind of brings out a drama in the image....

Location
Every year i always drive at least 10 times to the awesome Snowdonia in North Wales. This particular image is just outside Capel Curig, on the road that runs along the side of the beautiful lake Llyn Mymbyr.Time
Late afternoon, and actually on my way home.Lighting
Lovely bursts of light where erupting from the storm clouds before they fully saturated the sky.Equipment
My very trusty and sturdy Nikon D90, and a Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
Heading home, because the weather was changing fast in the Llanberis Pass. The light was fantastic, erupting in beams from between the storm clouds, at the same time it was getting darker, on seeing a parking space at the side road. I waited hoping for a break in the clouds for the light to fall for me, luck has to play a part and i got it.Editing
Photomatix, and Adobe CS3, to lighten and darken using the brush tool.In my camera bag
Always my Nikon D90, do not see the point in changing it YET, unless your professional and want billboard size images, 12mp is ample for the amateur, i print to A3+ and the clarity is superb, lens a 18 -105mm, 35mm, 50mm and a 70-300mm, i choose two to take on the walk with me depending what i know is in front of me. In the rest of my bag is a Manfrotto and a Velbon Sherpa tripod, one for local walking because it is heavy, the latter for long walks, various filters mostly ND,s, a cleaning cloth and most important spectacle alcohol wipes, never have a dirty lens.Feedback
In this instance it was lady luck, the weather changed dramatically while out, the stormy weather was not forecast till the evening. If i did decide to chase the stormy weather and get in the middle of it, i would always take a large plastic sheet for protection of my equipment from the rain, just chuck it over your head and everything else, while taking the image, and a large fishermans umberella is perfect for keeping you out of the rain and wind also, with a superb field of view from it for a clear shot.
