my mother and her identical twin sister are both 75 years old. They have what is called Ushers syndrome, born deaf and lost their sight as adults. they have always communicated with their hands. My aunt is in declining health and is suffering from dementia. So, even though they have difficulty communicating with each other and understanding each other and can no longer see each other, some things go beyond all that and says all that needs to be said.
