This photo was taken from my front porch. Saw a beautiful sky right outside the window, grabbed my camera and started taking pictures.Time
I'm unable to recall if this was a sunrise or sunset, but I do recall it was very cold out and I didn't even pause for socks or shoes. I just had to capture those magnificent colors.Lighting
I like to capture light and dark together. When the sun is creeping over the world early in the morning and darkness still lingers most everywhere I get tingles. My fingers just itch to start taking pictures. I love shadows and fog. I lower the amount of light for these pictures in order to get that spooky feeling. I drive by several cemeteries every week and when the fog is rolling through I just have to stop my car and take pictures until I get the right one.Equipment
This was shot with my cell phone. I am finding new delights all the time with my HTC One (M8). I usually like to play around with the settings until I find a color that pops!Inspiration
I'm forever looking at my surroundings for a photo opportunity and on this particular day, I didn't even have to look. It found me. I love the colors in the sky and to be able to capture the different hues... makes me very happy.Editing
I like to crop my pictures to help focus on a particular object. Sometimes I crop more than once.In my camera bag
I don't even own a real camera. I have three cell phones that I use to take pictures because they are always nearby. One day I hope to own a real camera and play with all the adjustments. I do a lot of reading online to find out new tricks and hints to get better quality photos.Feedback
If you see something that captivates you then it may catch the attention of other viewers. If you take the picture and it falls short of your expectations, just crop it or tweak the color and lighting. Sometimes just sharpening the focus is all it needs. Good luck and happy shooting!
