Location
This shot was taken at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve.Time
The photo was taken in the early afternoon in October 2015.Lighting
Looking at it now I can say that I wish there had of been a bit of sunshining as it would have really enahnced this photo. However, it the sun was shining I would not have had the snowflakes and I think they add a lot to the photo.Equipment
I only have one camera and it is a Canon 7D and I was using my 70-300 lens.Inspiration
I have been a member of the Whitehorse photography club for about three years now. Once a year our club puts on a workshop with a special and professional photographer. In October of 2015, the workshop was with Peter Mather and because it was a special wildlife photography workshop we were given permission to go to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and actually go into the enclosures with the animals. Being a huge fan of wildlife and wildlife photography this was a once in a life time chance for me. Very few of the photos turned out because I was shaking so hard with excitement most photos are out of focus.Editing
The only thing done to ths photo was minor cropping to get rid of a twig that was in the way and a bit of sharpening. In my camera bag
I don't have a lot of equipment so I carry all of it with me. I have my Canon 7D, 70-300mm, 60 mm and my 15-85mm as well as my flash.Feedback
Be patient, stay relaxed, be quiet, don't move and wait for the magic to happen.
