In my neighborhood of Soulard, it is our tradition to hold a second line funeral parade for our friends when they have passed away. The locals gather on the appointed time and date, parading through the streets with drums and horns, washboards and tambourines, and noisemakers of all descriptions. We make a joyful racket to send our friends off to their final rest. Afterward, a gathering is held where the alcohol flows freely, and the food is sumptuous. This is one such gathering, held on 4-20-13 in memory of our dear friend Sharon Cotton.
