Location
In the last year's Canary Inifinity Xtreme triathlon competition. It took place in the month of july when the weather was extremely hot in the outskirts of Puerto de la Cruz municipality. In Tenerife island.Time
During the afternoon, between 5-7PMLighting
I just used the sun light and added a vignette to create a chiaroscuro effect in order to reinforce the drama of the scene.Equipment
Camera: Canon Eos 5D Mark II. Lens: Canon Ef 100-400 f/4,5-5,6 L IS USM. Neither tripod nor monopod. No speedlite. A Hama trolley backpack.Inspiration
The face and body expression of athletes in action. Sports competitions can stir up the most incredible emotions in their faces, specially when they feel pushed to the limit of effort.Editing
Yes. I develop my images in Lightroom 5.3In my camera bag
I always take my Canon pro equipment, basically my Eos 5D Mark II and a Canon EF 24-70 f72,8 L II USM for most situations specially when I don't want to walk with my lots of weight in my backpack. For further needs I can also carry a Canon fisheye lens or the Canon macro EF 100mm f/2,8L. And, of course, a speedlite unit and a Gitzo GT 1544T tripod, only when really necessary.Feedback
pay very close attention to every move your subject can make. Facial movies can completely change the picture. The most fugacious moment can make a big difference.
