Behind The Lens

Location

Big Bass, Toledo Bend, Many, Louisiana

Time

Photo was shot on 11/28/2014 at 5:44 pm on an overcast day.

Lighting

I used the evening sunset to light this scene because the colors that came from the early part of the sunset brought out the golden colors and made the reds more vivid.

Equipment

Canon EOS 70D with EF S18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. 50mm focal length. ISO 160. F-stop: f/22. Shutter speed: 1/15sec. Nik Collection: color efexpro4. Shot in Camera Raw and jpeg.

Inspiration

The Autumn colors and the time of day. This area of Toledo Bend has exceptional sunsets.

Editing

The photo was post-processed in Camera Raw and then Nik collection Color Efexpro4 was used for final processing.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 70D; Canon lens: 50mm lens, 70-200mm lens, 18-135mm; multiple batteries; multiple SD cards; flash; filters; shutter release timer

Feedback

Pay attention to the different times of day for the shadows and highlights. This particular photo was shot at different times of the day, but the evening time made the best shadows and highlights that I was particularly happy with.
