This was taken spur of the moment at Bird Kingdom in Niagara Falls. I have titled it "Unreal" due to the fact that with the light hitting the bird at such an angle, it almost doesn't look like a real bird.

Location
This photo was taken at Bird Kingdom in Niagara Falls, Canada. It's a place I love to visit and it's a great place to experiment with different exposures and shutter speeds since they're live creatures.Time
I believe this photo was taken late morning; maybe around 11:30am, although it was quite an overcast day in the middle of February.Lighting
The lighting was all natural since the ceiling of the main aviary was completely glass. I prefer using natural lighting rather than artificial lighting because it creates a real look to the photo rather than making it look like it has a filter.Equipment
I used my little Fujifilm X-A1 camera with a 55-200 lens. Nothing else. No tripod or flash (seeing as I don't like the effect of the flash).Inspiration
This was a spur of the moment photo. I was just taking photos of everything and hoping that I got some good shots of all the birds and the aviary itself. This bird just happened to land on the railing beside where I was standing and he sort of posed for the portrait.Editing
Nope, nothing. This is the original photo. In my camera bag
I normally keep both of my lens with me - the standard lens and my 55-200. I also have my polarized lens cover that I keep in my camera bag. I just recently purchased a small tripod since I just have a small camera. I don't have a lot of equipment but I'm still young and I plan to accumulate quite a bit more.Feedback
Having patience and waiting for the perfect photo can work but sometimes you just have to take pictures and be spontaneous. I don't always set up for pictures, most of the time I just snap pictures and hope for the best. Sometimes you just have to be spontaneous with your camera.
