Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Singapore; a tourist spot called the Cloud Forest - Gardens by the Bay. It's a 35 metre, man-made waterfall which showcases the plant life of the tropical mountains.

Time

It was a sunny afternoon, around 3pm. But it wasn't really hot as the place is fully covered in glass and it's air-conditioned.

Lighting

Lighting wasn't an issue for me as it was a sunny day and I made use of the natural lighting.

Equipment

This was shot using Olympus SZ-31 MR; a point and shoot camera. Aperture:4, ISO: 80.

Inspiration

I first took a picture of this flower as a whole. But I realized that pores were more attractive and the colour of the petals had a better background.

Editing

Nope. No post processing was done.

In my camera bag

The olympus SZ-31 MR was my first camera I used to train on my photography skills. Now I am currently using a Nikon D5300 DSLR camera.

Feedback

There are no rules in photography. When you are taking a picture, ask yourself why you are taking this picture (besides saying that 'it's beautiful').
