The view from my bedroom window every morning was one of wonder and beauty. I awoke at 5 am every morning to a glorious sunrise. Every morning was different. Some mornings there was more purple and other mornings more pink and coral.Lighting
I wanted the focus to be entirely on the beginning of the day and the spectacle and beauty of nature.Equipment

I am just a beginner so I am trying to focus on composition and colour. My advice to anyone just starting to experiment with manual settings is to keep shooting the same subject again and again using different settings and compare your results. And don't apologize if you stick with the automatic settings until you feel confident. You have to take many shots to come up with the 'money shot'. The last time I was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras I took over 800 shots, then narrowed it down to 400 and then down to 200 and ultimately had 40 I felt I could frame.
