In the sky !!! duh ! This was part of a canadian head-down skydiving record in 2007. It was in Quebec province in a city call Joliette.Time
The meeting was planned to start the day after but we had the chance to do an ''almost-sunset'' load.Lighting
It's impossible to light a group of people like this in the sky going head-down. Even a small strobe is too dangerous !Equipment
I used a canon 40D (my back up camera) with a sigma 10-17mm at 10mm because I want to be part of the group. My camera is mounted on a helmet and I use a mouth trigger because I REALLY need both my hands and all my head.Inspiration
I have a lot of inspiration when on the ground but quite frankly in these kind of jumps where I focus more on my skydiving skills, It was just being there !!!Editing
Not that much. basic color and light tweaking and that's it.In my camera bag
I usually have a parachute in my bag ! For the rest of my SPORTS job I use a canon 5D mark2, 15mm fish, 17-40mm F4, 35mm F2, 135mm F2, 100-300F4, a bunch of speedlights and all the right tools for the right sport ! My site is there: http://charlesdavidrobitaille.com/ It's in French but I'm sure you will get the point !!!Feedback
1- Know your sports ! 2- Know your equipment ! 3- Go outside and have fun
