Location
Sheffield Nova Scotia at an Eagle feeding site. They feed them only a few times in the winter. This was taken in mid January.Time
It was in the morning and it was beyond cold!! It started snowing on top of the deep snow that was already on the ground.Lighting
The overcast of the snow filled clouds made it feel magical and soft which was in direct contrast to the fierceness of the eagle which was all business.Equipment
I used a Nikkon D3200 with AF-NIKKOR 55-300mm lensInspiration
I had never seen a Bald Eagle up close before. I got to see around 50 of them in this feeding ground and watched them fight and interact with each other. I never realized how big a bird they really are. And how majestic they are. I didn't want to leave, despite the fact I could barely use my fingers due to the extreme cold. Even my camera stopped working and had to be warmed up to work again.Editing
The only thing I did was to sharpen the picture, that was it.In my camera bag
My Nikkon D3200 with a 50-300mm and a 40 mm Micro lens.Feedback
I took hundreds of photos to get this one shot. When shooting animals or birds, I would just take as many pictures as possible to capture something unique or a shot reviling the personality of the subject.
