Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in one of the famous city garden in Bangalore called Lalbaugh. I am amateur photographer, this was taken during two three years back during my early learning days.

Time

Sunday early morning I reached at Lalbaugh and around 6.30 to 7.00 I saw 8 to 10 Scally Breasted Munias are playing around and enjoying early morning breeze. I almost spend more than couple of hours to capture some of the wonderful moments and it turned out getting this mesmerising intimate scene...

Lighting

It was a early morning light with lots of trees around to shadowing the picture...

Equipment

I used my Nikon D5100 with 70-300 mm lens handheld

Inspiration

I like shooting birds, specially early morning when you get a gift of 8 to 10 Munias playing around and no one to disturb in one of the crowded city garden.. For bird photographer that's a bonus... getting this outcome is like dream come true..Patients pay.

Editing

Didn't do much post processing, this is almost the straight from camera

In my camera bag

I used to have 70-300mm only with my camera.. now upgraded with Tamron 150-600mm

Feedback

To capture birds, Patients is most important.. spend as much time as you can in the field to get best shots and action
