Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my front yard. I captured her as she was picking up something to eat with her paws. She was so cute and I believe she was nursing if you look closely.

Time

It was 1:32 in the afternoon that I took this photo. A lovely autumn day in September.

Lighting

The lighting was lovely where she was standing at that moment to capture her.

Equipment

I used my Canon 5D Mark III on a tripod with a Tamron 150-700mm lens.

Inspiration

The squirrel did as she was standing there very still with her findings in the lawn.

Editing

Yes, I did post processing in Lightroom and also in Photoshop. I used two Nik filters in Photoshop one was Color Efex Pro Tonal Contrast to enhance her color and detail and the other one was define to smooth out the background noise.

In my camera bag

I carry my 5D Mark III with a tripod and my Tamron 150-600mm lens. I also carry my Canon 70-300mm lens and my Canon 24-135mm lens. And sometimes my Canon 100mm macro. If I know that I am going to need a flash, I will carry one or two of my Canon Speedlites.

Feedback

I would say to just always be aware of your surroundings, because you never know who or what will pop into view to capture.
