Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Siena, Italy.

Time

It was after lunch time. After a long day we had lunch and my brother had one last spot to show me.

Lighting

It was a shoot from far far away and with a standard 75-300 mm. I could not make a lot for the angle so the only possibility was to pay with the shutter a little.

Equipment

I am a hobby photographer so all i had is my sony alpha 200 and a 75-300 mm standard kit lens. I always think that the cool expensive equipment makes life easier but good pictures can be done with a kodak single use.

Inspiration

I mostly just walk around the world and hope it clicks in my head. I always see the picture in my head and than work to bring it to life. So was with the buildings, i saw tham from the hill we were on and started shooting till i had something i could work with later.

Editing

I hate post-processing my images a lot. i don't want to change the picture just want to bring it to the point that i had in my head before shooting. I cropped and worked with the light balance to bring the details of the walls.

In my camera bag

All i own is sony alpha 200 and the kit lenses. But most of the time i dont even need more.

Feedback

Lot of people say planning and good equipment is necessary but i think it depends on how you see photography and what you want to photograph. Me personally think that photography was created to catch moments of life and make them immortal. To do this all you need to do is get out walk around the world and keep the eyes wide open. no need for a dslr alway with you. Always be sre to have a camera with you, or you will regret it sooner or later! Also a single use will photograph a bird , a flower , a building, somebody crying on the train or an old couple holding hands down the street
